Da'Shawn Hand (born November 14, 1995) is an American football defense tactic for the Detroit Lions of National Football League (NFL). He plays football in Alabama.

Initial years
Hand was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the father of Sharif Hand, who was a junior in high school when Da'Shawn was born. Uncle's hand, Damone Boone, is an All-American Parade ran back in West Springfield in Virginia in the mid-1990s. After moving to Woodbridge, Virginia, Hand attended Woodbridge High School, where he was a sports athlete of three in football, wrestling, and track. In football, he is an All-State defense midfielder. In the first year, Hand recorded 110 tackles, 16 bags, 40 tackles for loss, two deflections passing, four were forced to fail, and three failed recovery. Woodbridge finished the season 6-5, losing 0-17 from Haymarket Battlefield in the first round of VHSL playoffs. After his junior year, Hand was named Rivals.com Junior of the Year, an honor that came with a No. ranking. 1 class prospect someone entering senior season. Media attention continues to increase, and the Washington Post decides to make Hand the subject of a documentary series entitled "First and 17," which follows him both on and off the field, "giving insight into the challenges facing jumper schools recruit top, football and senior year. "On September 21, 2013, one of Hand's teammates, Kenny Diaz, a backup midfielder, was stabbed furiously at Marumsco Acre Lake Park in Woodbridge.
In addition to playing football, Hand also excels in wrestling and track. He is a regional champion in Virginia wrestling. On track & amp; he competed primarily as a pitcher, but also spent some time as a sprinter during his final year in 2014. In the City Championship-County Runner Store, he finished second place in the shooting event, recording career-the best throw of 15.81 meters (51 feet, 9 inches). He occupies the 11th position in the discus at the Twilight Classic Gojekian, with a top-throw of 35.66 meters (116 feet, 9 inches). Recruit
Hands are considered the nation's best recruits in the 2014 class by Rivals.com. In 2012, he is the Footballer of the First High School Competition of the Year. With over 90 scholarship offers, Hands narrowed the choice of three college destinations - Alabama, Florida, and Michigan - prior to the start of its senior season. On November 14, 2013, his eighteenth birthday, he committed to attend the University of Alabama. Observing civil engineering majors, Hand cites Alabama's civil engineering program as one of the main reasons he decided to choose Crimson Tide.

College career
In his first real year in Alabama, Hand is a regular player in the rotation of the Crimson Tide defense line and plays in nine games at the end of the defense. He started his college career with a single tackle against West Virginia. The hand finished with seven tackles this year, including four solo stops and two sacks (-10 yards). The hand started nine of 11 games played in 2017, time lost with a mild knee injury. He has 27 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and three sacks last season.
Professional career
Hands are composed by Detroit Lions in the fourth round (overall 114) of the NFL Draft 2018.
Personal life
On July 29, 2017, Hand was arrested for driving under influence in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.
