This is made by tying the tea leaves and flowers together into a bulb, then arranging it to dry. When soaked, the bundle expands and stretches in a process that emulates the blooming flower, and the flower inside it appears as its center. Usually they are sourced from Yunnan province of China. Flowers commonly used in flowering tea include the world of spinach, chrysanthemum, jasmine, lily, hibiscus, and osmanthus.
