Confidence and practice
The organization aims to promote peace and harmony in society through the practice of spiritual purification methods and the practice of universal principles, such as gratitude, acceptance, and humility in all aspects of life.
Bright Art of
Sukyo Mahikari introduces a practice to purify one's spiritual aspect as a way to achieve happiness. Radiating Light from the palm of the hand is a method of spiritual purification that cleanses the soul, mind, and body. It is said to help pave the way to solve all problems. By purifying the spiritual aspect with the Light and leading lives based on the principles of sustainability, one can revive their spirituality and achieve improved health, harmony and prosperity.
Light Transmission is referred to as "the art of True Light." Through the palm of the hand, a person (the giver) radiates Light to another (recipient), enabling them to purify and revitalize their spirit, mind, and body.
Radiating Light can be practiced by anyone who is very desirable, by attending the main course Sukyo Mahikari.
Light Sessions usually begin with givers and recipients who offer short prayers. Furthermore, the giver of Light reads a prayer that is believed to have a strong power to purify ("Ama Amoru Norigoto Prayer"). The giver then holds his hand approximately 30 cm (12 inches) from the recipient's body. The Light Session usually lasts from 10 to 50 minutes.
Sukyo Mahikari does not advocate the use of True Light art as a substitute for medical or therapeutic treatment. Founder of Mahikari, Mr. Kotama Okada, teaches that the purpose of True Light art is not to cure disease or illness, but to serve the community, bring happiness to the people, and attain divine nature.
The True Art of Light is said to purify the spiritual world of one's home and society, making them more peaceful and harmonious. Thus, members are encouraged to radiate Light to anything, anywhere, and anytime. Thus, Light not only radiates to humans, but also to animals, food, buildings, and the natural environment.
Universal principle
Sukyo Mahikari teaches the concept of a universal principle which, when practiced with Light, enables one to more quickly achieve spiritual and personal growth.
Mahyo Mahikari encourages people to incorporate divine principles in their daily lives by practicing virtues such as altruistic love, gratitude, humility and acceptance of God's will. The members also practice praying, cultivating positive and cheerful attitudes, promoting harmony, charity and helping others, and serving God.
The founder of Kotama Okada believes that if people live up to universal principles, they will cultivate their spirituality, and naturally come to use science and technology integrated with an understanding of spirituality, to find solutions to the urgent problems facing mankind.
Other confidence
Sukyo Mahikari promotes yoko farming practices. Yoko's agricultural practices involve organic farming combined with the use of positive words and attitudes to help people cultivate respect for nature and return the land to a pure and fertile state. Thus, respect for nature and the natural environment is encouraged. The use of arbitrary chemical fertilizers, without consideration for the local environment, is not recommended. The organization has helped create a natural farm and promotes the distribution of natural and organic products to the world.

Sukyo Mahikari teaches that the art of True Light and universal principles transcends religious denominations and differences in ethnicity, nationality, and ideology. Sukyo Mahikari promotes cooperation and understanding between religious organizations towards the establishment of a sustainable and peaceful society. The emphasis of the place of the organization on the spiritual unity of man has resulted in membership that reflects the diversity of religion and nationality.
Sukyo Mahikari does not practice any form of tithing. The organization is sustained by voluntary contributions (offers) made by members. Rather than the amount, emphasis is placed on making offerings with sincerity. People are encouraged to make offerings that are voluntary and not beyond one's ability. No mandatory contributions. However, there is an amount set for award bidding for attending introductory courses and spiritual cord maintenance offerings. Members are encouraged to offer monthly cord maintenance bids, which are approximately $ 7 in the US and the same amount in other regions. Cornille writes that there are a number of different types of offerings within the organization: cord nursing offerings; The award of Cahaya Sejati; offer special protection awards, and so on.
