The story of the wud?
There are four actions fardaf (required). If one of these actions is omitted, the action must be returned and then the next action is completed.
There are other actions performed during wu ??? (derived from the sunnah of Muhammad's prophet Muhammad and the Sunni Islamic scholars) and the detailed action of wu ??? can be classified into 3 types:
Far?' id according to Muslim Sunni
According to Sunni Muslims, the Qur'anic mandate for wu ??? came in six verses from sura <5. The verse has been translated by Muhammad Muhsin Khan, Rashad Khalifa, Abdullah Yusuf Ali, Pickthal and Maulana Muhammad Ali as follows. Note that the translations of these scholars refer to washing their feet.
O ye who believe! when you prepare prayer, wash your face, and hand (and arm) to elbow; Rub your head (with water); and (wash) your feet to the ankles. If you are in a ceremonial ceremony, bathe your whole body. But if you are sick, or on the way, or one of you comes from offices of nature, or you have contact with women, and you find no water, then take sand or clean soil, and rub with your face and hands, wants to put you in trouble, but to keep you clean, and to complete His help to you, so that you may be grateful.
- Wash your face three times.
- Wash both arms including elbows three times.
- Perform mask from a quarter of the head.
- Wash both legs once to and including the ankle. Not enough for someone to pass wet hands on the feet or shoes. Under certain conditions, masah can be done through skin socks known as khuffs.

- Narrated by Abd-Allah ibn Amr: "... we just reached out wet hands on our feet (not washing them thoroughly) so he called us aloud to say two or three times," Save the heels You are from fire. '. "
- Narrated by 'Ubaid Ibn Juraij: "... and he used to perform ablution while wearing shoes (ie washing his feet and then wearing shoes)."
- Narrated by Yahya Al-Mazini: "'Can you show me how Allah's Apostle used to perform ablution?'... and wash his feet (up to the ankles). "
- Narrated by 'Amr: "... and then he washed his feet to the ankles."
- Narrated by Humran: "... and wash his feet to the ankles..."
- Narrated by 'Amr bin Yahya: "... and wash his feet to the ankles..."
- Narrated 'Abdullah bin Zaid: "... and wash his feet (up to the ankles)."
Far away?' id according to Shia Muslims
According to Shi'ite Muslims, the Qur'anic mandate for wu ??? comes in verse six from Surah 5. The verse has been translated by Muhammad Habib Shakir as follows. Take note of this undergraduate translation referring to foot sensitization.
O ye who believe! when you prepare prayer, wash your face, and hand (and arm) to elbow; Rub your head (with water); and your feet to the ankles.
- Wash your face one or two times with your right hand.
- Wash both arms including elbow once or twice (left hand wash right hand and then right hand wash left arm).
- Wipe a quarter of the head with the remaining water in your right hand.
- Clean both feet once and including the ankle once with the remaining water in both hands (right hand, right leg, left hand, left foot).
Mustahabb? t (recommended action)
A number of actions mustahabb (recommended) which is considered to make wu ??? better. If one of these actions is removed, then wu ??? still valid.
- Re-read shahadah after wudu.
- During wu ??? one can not engage in worldly conversation.
- Choosing a clean place for ablution.
- Do not waste water in ablution.
- Starts from the right side and then left.
Contentions
Muslims who can not perform the prevailing form of wudu, due to skin diseases, disabilities or lack of clean water, etc. It is advisable to do tayammum , sometimes called "dry wudu", using sand or dust instead of water. An alternative form of ritual purity is also acceptable in cases where people are afraid of hypothermia in cold weather.
Performance
According to Sunni Muslims
Sunni Muslims do the following:
- Start by making niyyah (intent) to do wu ??? and rid yourself of dirt.
- Read bismillah .
- Wash your right hand to the wrist (and between the fingers) three times, then the same as your left hand.
- Furthermore, some water must be taken in the right hand and inhaled into the nostrils three times and then detonated. The left hand should be used to clean the nose.
- Rinse mouth and remove water three times and brush teeth with miswak. If miswak is not available then one should use a finger.
- Wash your face (from hair line on forehead to where facial hair begins and ear to ear). This should be done three times.
- Wash your entire right arm, including your hands, up to and including your elbows three times; then his left arm three times. Pass the fingers of one hand between the fingers of the other hand. If wearing the ring it should be moved freely to allow water to pass under it.
- Then do the masah. Wet hands must pass through the entire head; then the first finger of the right and left hands should be moved in the right and left ear respectively and in the same operating thumb must pass through the ear; then passing the back of the hand above the back of the neck only. The hand should not be passed in front of the neck as it is forbidden. This is only done once. One may not make a masah on a Muslim headpiece.
- Begin with your right foot, wipe your feet from your toes up to and including your ankles three times. The little finger of the left hand should be passed between the toes of both legs starting from the little finger of the right foot and ending with the little finger of the left foot.
- Read shahadah .
- Offers two prayers of prayer.
- Make sure all parts of the body to be washed for wudu should be completely wet before others are washed until the wudu is finished.
According to Shia Muslims
Shia Muslims do the following:
- Make intent to do wu ??? in the heart.
- Form the right hand like a cup and bring water into it. Then pour water over the forehead and wipe it with your right hand. It is compulsory to start washing from areas where head hair usually grows, then to the chin.
- Left hand shape like a cup and bring water into it. After that, pour this water into your right arm and wash your right forearm (cover your right forearm in water, leaving no stain). Clean from elbow to finger and not from finger to elbow.
- Repeat this process except with the left arm.
- Without taking more water, wipe your hair from the middle down to the forehead, or vice versa, using your right hand's index finger; mustahab using three fingers. If you are bald, you will wash your hair as if it grows when you have full hair. Not allowed to wipe hair on obstacles (such as wiping a hat or turban instead of hair/skin). Not required to clean the actual skin on the head. However, if the hair does not grow from the area you clean (as if you have a comb on top), then you should move the hair into place and wipe the skin.
- Without taking more water, clean (rather than wash, like Sunni do) the top of your right foot with your right hand. You only delete once and with swipe gestures. Not allowed to clean shoes, socks, etc. You should always wipe the skin of the feet unless there is an extreme reason.
- Do the same thing, except using your left hand and wiping your left foot.
Imam Ali and other imams have stated that there is a mustahab, or recommended action, for wu ??? along with the methods mentioned above. This action is recommended:
- Wash hands twice.
- Gargles three times.
- Rinse your nose three times.
- Wash your face twice and arms twice. It is not permissible to wipe your head and feet twice (except for one of the missing places) and is not allowed to wash your face and arms three times.
Invalidation
Theoretically, one can do one wu ??? to pray and wu this ??? will be considered valid for the rest of the day. However, traditionally Muslims believe that certain actions cancels wu ??? (often referred to as "breaking wu ???" and "losing wu ???") and this can be stated in general, although the Quran does not explain most of this:
According to Sunni Muslims
- Defecate or urinate
- Hazardous or audible bloated stomach contents
- Emission of semen (needed ghusl)
- Slow-wave sleep while lying down
- Vomit
- Loss of senses
- Faint
- Sexual contact with others (ghusl required)
- Touching private parts with bare hands (not according to Hanafi Madhhab)
- The blood or pus leaves the body leaving the exit point (but if blood or pus comes out of private parts then any amount will be damaged). Note that bleeding except from the private part does not cancel wu ??? according to Shafi'i Madhhab.
According to Shia Muslims
- Defecate or urinate
- Through intestinal gas or stomach
- Sleep in such a way that the ears do not hear and eyes do not see
- Emission of semen (needed ghusl)
- Enter any loss of awareness
Tayammum
Tayammum is a "dry wudhu" using soil or clean dust, which must be done when water is not available to perform ablution or when someone is dirty (at janabah ) and can not do ghusl , and authorized under certain circumstances.
Wu ??? description in Hadith
Wu ??? in Hadith Abu Hurayra, in connection with the Day of Resurrection, reported that Muhammad, when asked if he would be able to recognize Muslims, said, "Yes, you will have a sign that others will not have You will come to me with a white flame on the forehead and white marks on your feet because of the trail of ablution. "
Abu Hurairah said, "I have heard the prophet (may peace be upon him) say In the jewelry of believers will reach the places where wudhu reach."
Uthman ibn Affan stated that Muhammad, said, "He who performs ablution well, his sins will come out of his body, even out from under his nails."
'Umar ibn al-Khattab reported that Muhammad said, â ⬠Å"None of you do wu ??? and do wu ??? thoroughly - or sufficiently - and then testify, 'There is no god but God Himself without a partner and I testify that Muhammad is the messenger of God', without the eight doors of the Garden opened for him so that he can enter by anyone of them he wants.
