Murder

Stiles is an alcoholic and rude to his family. Because of his ectrodactyly, he can not walk. While he often uses a wheelchair, he most often uses his hands and arms to move. He develops substantial substantial body strength which, when combined with bad temperament and alcoholism, makes it harmful to others.

In 1988 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Stiles shot and killed his eldest daughter's fiancee on the night of their wedding. He was taken to court, where he publicly confessed to killing the man and was convicted of murder. He was not sent to prison because no state institution was equipped to treat an inmate with ectrodactyly. Stiles instead was sentenced to fifteen years' probation.

Stiles stopped drinking afterwards, and during this period married again to his first wife, Mary Teresa (Teresa). However, he soon started drinking again and his family claimed that he became increasingly rude. In 1992, Teresa and her son from a previous marriage, Harry Glenn Newman Jr., hired a seventeen-year-old show player named Chris Wyant to kill Stiles for $ 1500.

Wyant was convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 27 years in prison. Harry Newman was given life in prison for his role as a puppeteer and Teresa was sentenced to 43 years in prison for conspiracy to commit murder.

Stiles's son, Grady Stiles III, denied claims that Teresa had killed him. According to her, her mother, Teresa, and her father were arguing. Teresa said, "Something should be resolved." The son of Teresa heard this, and went to the neighbor and repeated it. Neighbors shot and killed Stiles shortly afterwards.
