Tuesday Morning Corporation is an American discount, an off-price retailer specializing in domestic and international closeout merchandise, designer and brand-name. The company has stores all over the United States. Headquartered in Dallas, Texas, the chain has traditionally relied on direct marketing (including letters and emails), but also advertises in newspapers.

History
Tuesday Morning was founded in 1974. It has grown to 330 stores operating in 35 countries in 1998 and to 41 states and 441 stores in 2001.
In June 2012, Becker Drapkin Management LP's hedge fund bought a 6.6% stake in the company, which allowed it to control the board of directors.
On June 7, 2012, retailers announced that they had sacked CEO Kathleen Mason, due to criticism that the company was performing poorly under its direction. On the same day, the company promoted Michael Marchetti to become president and chief operating officer. Marchetti also served as interim CEO. In May 2013, Mason sued Tuesday morning for discrimination, claiming his termination occurred as a result of his breast cancer diagnosis.
Mason was followed by Brady Churches as CEO, which lasted six months at work, and was subsequently replaced by Michael Rouleau as interim CEO in March 2013 before taking over as permanent CEO in August 2013. The company closed its online store in August 2013 At that time Tuesday Morning has 820 stores. On September 29, 2015, Rouleau announced that he retired as Chief Executive Officer and member of the Company's Board of Directors. As a result of Rouleau's retirement, Morning Tuesday created a new Office of the Chair, chaired by Board Chairman Steven R. Becker, to support overseeing the Company's strategic initiatives until appointing a new CEO, as well as adding the role of independent new leadership director held by Board member Terry Burman. The Office of the Chairman also included Burman as Vice Chairman, Melissa Phillips, President and Chief Operating Officer, and Phil Hixon, Executive Vice President, Store Operations. The Council also set up a Search Committee and retained Herbert Mines Associates, a leading retail executive search firm to identify and evaluate internal and external CEO candidates.
On December 14, 2015, Tuesday morning named Becker as the new chief executive officer.
