A foam pump , or a foam and dispensing device is a non-aerosol way to remove a liquid material. The foam pump releases fluid in the form of foam and is operated by squeezing. The foam pump parts are similar to those of other pump parts. Many times a foam pump is equipped with a protective cover. Most components are made of polypropylene (PP).

Operation
The foam pump emits a dose of liquid contained in the bottle in the form of a foam. The foam is made in the foamer room. Liquid constituents are mixed in foaming spaces and these are thrown through nylon mesh. The size of the neck of the foam pump is greater than the size of the neck of the other pump type, to accommodate the foamer space. The usual neck size of the foam pump is 40 or 43mm.
Where the hair dye products previously contained instructions to shake the product hard, pressed the bottle, and turned it down to disperse the product, the foam did not require such an action. Some foamed dispensers include suction at the bottom to allow the container to remain upright.
The foam can be purchased alone, or filled with liquid products such as soap. When the liquid is mixed with air, the liquid product can be dispersed through the top-pump as a foam. The foam can also be reused with various liquid products to extend the mass of the liquid by creating a foam version.
