Krrb (pronounced 'curb') is a hyperlocal classifieds website that allows individuals and businesses to sell antiques, antique, used, handmade or locally sourced items including artisan, artistic, design and collectibles. Website members can also include real estate, housing, events, services, jobs, and community notices. The following websites are in the tradition of neighborhood garage sales or flea markets, prioritizing proximity above categorization so that users can see their nearest listing. Each seller gets a personal storefront (A.K.A 'corner') where all of the listings are displayed.

History
Disappointed with the state of the line online, "Craigslist feels like selling stuff in a back alley of shabby", founder George Eid decided to make "an online flea market [that works the way craigslist should".
Krrb.com was launched in November 2010 and incorporated as Krrb, Inc. in January 2011. The company is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York City and privately owned by AREA 17, an interactive agency based in New York City and Paris, France.
AREA 17 founder, George Eid, founded Krrb.com as part of an incubator program started by the company, which also launched Slash Paris. Luis Lavena, Ruby's core developer (programming language), designs and develops software and continues to lead the engineering team. Interactive art director Arnaud Mercier (now dead) designed the logo and user interface. Andrew Wagner, former editor of ReadyMade, American Craft and Dwell Magazine and current columnist for the New York Times, joined the company in 2011 as Director and Chief Editor. In 2014, Phil Jeffs, Product Director at AREA 17, joins the team to lead product development.

Conflict with Craigslist
In February 2013, Craigslist sent a letter of Truce and Desist demanding that Krrb permanently disable the Krrb It button, a bookmarklet tool that enables registered users of Krrb to copy factual information from their own Craigslist post to Krrb, using publicly available information, and displayed in a way unique to Krrb. To avoid legal fees, Krrb disables the Krrb It button for Craigslist; However, founder George Eid responded with an open letter to founder Craig Barrigslist Newmark that sparked a hot discussion on the web.
